Road Monitor
Shift start/end: 7:15-11am
Job Duties – You will be placed on either end of Roessel Rd. and will be given communication devices to help direct traffic. Signs to help facilitate traffic during our event will be provided. The private portion of Roessel Rd. will be partially closed with only one lane open to traffic during the event. It will be the duties of the road monitors to temporarily stop vehicles from entering and ensure that the one lane available is clear and safe for both vehicles and participants and/or visitors to enter/exit.
Skills – Loud clear voice, outgoing personality. No lifting. Able to walk and stand for a 3+ hour shift.
Start + Finish Line Monitor
Shift start/end: 8:30am-12pm
Job Duties – Start Line: Move runners/walkers to the start line. Help keep strollers and wheelchairs at the rear of the pack and encourage runners going across the start line. Record starting time for each wave of runners.
Finish Line: Record finishing time for each runner as they pass the finish line. Keep runners moving efficiently through the finish line toward the post-race area where they can wait for loved ones and get their Finisher’s picture taken.
Skills – Loud clear voice, outgoing personality. No lifting. Able to walk and stand for about a 3+ hour shift.
Event Set-Up
Shift start/end: 7:15am-9am
Job Duties – assist with laying out course markers and signage, setting up water stations, etc.
Skills – Standing, bending, lifting 30 lbs.
Event Tear-Down
Shift start/end: 11:30am-12:30pm
Job Duties – assist with taking down signs, picking up trash, etc.
Skills – Standing, bending, lifting 30 lbs.
Course Minder
Shift start/end: 8:30am-12pm
Job Duties– Direct runners and walkers keeping them on course using voice and hand signals. Direct traffic flow and ensure runner safety.
Skills – Loud clear voice, outgoing personality. No lifting. Able to walk and stand for a 3+ hour shift.
Parking Lot Attendant
Shift start/end: 7:15-11am
Job Duties – direct and manage parking lot flow, ensure runner safety, control entry and exit of vehicles.
Skills – Loud clear voice. No lifting. Able to walk and stand for a 2+ hour shift [Chairs available].
