healthy habits workshop

Curious about plants and their functions in our local ecosystems? Wondering what we can do to contribute to a healthy habitat? Come join us at the Salmon Center to discover the important role native plants play, and how invasive plants threaten that role. This workshop will give students a hands-on, outdoor learning experience providing them the skills to help native plants thrive; you can expect a walk around the estuary, learning the difference between deciduous and coniferous trees, live-staking, plant related games and crafts, and a plant identification lesson in our native plant nursery garden.

– Please have your child dress according to the weather. Close toed shoes are required. Come prepared so that we can have fun outside (rain gear, hat, etc).

– Please plan on dropping off your child a few minutes prior to the beginning of the workshop and arriving at 4:00pm for pick-up.
