garden work parties

garden work parties

Join us at a Farm at Water’s Edge volunteer work party! Farm at Water’s Edge is a certified organic farm providing our community with seasonal, fresh produce on a donation only basis. It also serves as an education tool for students and demonstrates how responsible, sustainable agriculture can coexist with salmon habitat. This is a great opportunity to support this community resource, as well as ask any of your garden questions to our knowledgeable staff and participating volunteers!

Volunteers can expect to help us weed, harvest, remove invasive species, turn compost, and/or plant in the garden. Please remember to check the weather before you come. We recommend wearing closed toed shoes, sun protection and bringing a water bottle.

This a great opportunity for all! Individuals, friends, families and kids. See you on the Farm!

Help us keep our compost composting! An important element of composting is turning – this incorporates oxygen and rearranges materials, giving everything a chance to breakdown.

Compost Turning Shifts are on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 9am. (If you can’t come at that time, you are welcome to suggest an alternative but please note that in your sign-up so we know when to expect you.)

Wear boots or shoes that can get muddy. Gloves available but we welcome you to bring your own!
