Earth Day

April 22 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Join us for Earth Day at the Salmon Center! From 2-5pm there will be a volunteer planting as well as crafts and activities for all ages.

 

Self-led Activities Offered All Event Long:

Station 1: Coloring

Station 2: Salmon Hazards Game

Station 3: Bird House Construction

 

Earth Day Event Itinerary:

Time Activity
2:00 – 5:00 pm Plant a Plant! Help us plant over 200 native and edible plants in and around the Belfair Bark Park. Plants include: Blueberries, Salmonberries, Thimbleberries, Goats Beard, Gary Oak, Twinberry, and Serviceberry.
3:00 – 3:30 pm Farm Tour Come meet the Farm at Water’s Edge’s furry and feathered friends, see where our beautiful organic-certified gardens grow and learn more about the farm’s connection to salmon health and restoration.
3:45 – 4:15 pm Salmon Signs Bracelet Making Learn about the salmon life cycle and lifestyle while making a bracelet to take home!
4:30 – 5:00 pm Grow Your Own Sunflowers Activity Bring your own garden home with you! Plant seeds of sunflowers and other common garden vegetables.
