The Wild Salmon Hall of Fame has been established to honor individuals who have demonstrated actions over time protecting, conserving and restoring Wild Salmon populations. This year's candidates for the award are: the late Willy O' Neil, Frederick Olney, Terry Williams and Mark Sollitto, Wendy Scherrer, Dick Goin and Dr. Robin Waples. The Wild Salmon Hall of Fame Final Selections Committee selecting the 2005 inductee include; Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife Program Chair Charles Corrarino, Congressman Norm Dicks, Salmon Recovery Funding Chair Bill Ruckelshaus, Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission Chair Billy Frank Jr., and Director of Washington's Department of Fish and Wildlife Jeff Koenings.

The Wild Salmon Hall of Fame gala ceremony dinner will take place on September 24th at the Kitsap Conference Center in Bremerton, WA. Attendance by WSHF Final Selections Committee members is anticipated. Seating is limited. Tickets are $55 and can be obtained through the Hood Canal Salmon Enhancement Group at 360-275-3575.
