| "The Dance" a bronze sculpture caste from a cedar carving by Wild Salmon enthusiast Al Adams. The sculpture will be the centerpiece of Salmon Hall of Fame. A smaller version of the sculpture is given to the inductees as an appreciation award for their efforts in Wild Salmon recovery |
The purpose of the Wild Salmon Hall of Fame is to honor and celebrate individuals and/or teams who have demonstrated over time actions that have inspired and which continue to guide a passion for the preservation and recovery of abundant and diverse Wild Salmon populations throughout the Pacific Northwest. (Alaska, British Columbia, Washington, Oregon, California and Idaho)
The 2009 Wild Salmon Hall of Fame has been postponed until 2010. With the completion of our property purchase in December 2008, all of our time and resources have been focused on moving the Salmon Center to the new location and opening it to the public. The Board feels that our supporters would be better served by doing all we can to get the new facility up and running as soon as possible. It is our intention to hold the 2010 Hall of Fame Celebration on the new property and we hope that you can join us then. All nominations received in 2009 will be held and added to the pool for the 2010 award.
